Diego Caplan Friendship Guide

Diego Caplan is a Hufflepuff in the same year as the Main Character and is considered to be the best dueller at Hogwarts.  Merula Snyde will introduce him late in Year 5; she has been training with him after her many defeats to our character.  Diego is  immediately attracted to the main character and will likely serve as a potential romantic interest.  He offers to help against Madam Rakepick and ultimately becomes available as a friend at the conclusion of Year 5 Chapter 19.

Upon becoming friends you will be able to drink butterbeer together in Hogsmeade, play gobstones in the Hogwarts Courtyard, and share a meal in in the Great Hall.  Each of these activities will result in a series of four questions.  Answering these questions correctly will fill a bar that can ultimately reward up to three diamonds which in turn level up Diego Caplan’s friendship level.  The experience required and reward for each level are as follows:

Friendship Level      Experience Required to Level     Reward for Level Up
2 1360 experience 5 gems
3 1600 experience 5 gems
